This Is Why You Should Sleep on Your Left Side

Another creative hack is to plug in a nightlight or other dim lighting source on your right side. Your body will instinctually want to turn away from the light in order to sleep deeply, and self-correct whenever you happen to roll to the right.

While there are several sleeping positions that are perfectly fine, as long as you don’t wake up sore, left-sided slumber is the healthiest overall – especially if you happen to be pregnant. Clearly bodies are made to keep working in any natural position, but your slumber is that much more restorative the less effort your body has to put in during that period.
